Most of his career he worked as an independent consultant in 35 countries, primarily in Asia and Eastern Europe. Klaus Maurer holds a doctorate in Financial Economics from the Free University Berlin.

Christian Cornett specializes in the structuring of corporate finance transactions, often in the context of capital market transactions. He also frequently advises financial institutions, investors, boards, and board members in the context of transactions and special situations.

He started working for SMEs at Commerzbank, before he joined the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (later ConCap Connective Capital) working on development finance issues. Marco holds an economics degree from the University of Applied Sciences (FH) in Osnabrück and a MA of International & Development Economics from the FH in Berlin.

He is Member of the Board at Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. Verwaltungs AG and Chief Investment Officer.

Michael is Co-Head of the Financial and Business Services Sector joining the firm in 1992. Prior to Apax, Michael spent three years at OTTO Holding Ltd. in Cologne, as the General Manager of an operations subsidiary and four years at Ciba-Geigy Canada, as an Engineer in their Plastics Additives Division. Michael holds a BS in Engineering Chemistry from Queen’s University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Elvira has spent the last 18 years in development finance combining financial sector development with the objectives of small business growth, housing improvement and energy efficiency. She started at IPC before moving to the EBRD and then KfW, adding a stint at the China Development Bank in between. Elvira holds a MA degree from Ruprecht-Karls University Heidelberg in Slavic Studies.

In 2005, he became advisor in the inception of EFSE, later acting as CFO to the Fund Advisor. In 2009, he became the Company’s first Managing Director. Florian holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College, Philadelphia. He also runs an ecological mountain farm producing cheese in South Tyrol.

She has more than 20 years of experience in development finance in over 30 countries. Starting her career in German International Cooperation (giz), she worked as consultant for international organizations and held various management positions at consulting companies and asset managers. Sylvia holds an MA in Political Science and Sociology and an MBA from the University of Tübingen as well as an MA in International Studies from the University of Miami.

Merle started her career at Dresdner Bank, before joining the EEX as a project manager. In 2002 she began working for BHF-BANK, soon taking over the communication responsibilities for the Asset Servicing Business. When BHF-BANK sold its asset servicing business to BNY Mellon, she became Head of Marketing & Communications for Germany at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing.

After studying Economics at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden he started his career at Kraftanlagen AG. In 1992 he moved to Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (former Bankakademie) where he got promoted to Financial Director. Before joining Finance in Motion in 2009, Klaus worked at the European Business School (EBS).

Matteo began his professional career with Hewlett-Packard. After working on a long-term assignment as MIS adviser in Nepal, he joined IPC GmbH in 2003. In this role he supported the IT operations of 4 ProCredit African institutions. Matteo has a MS in Information Technology from Milan Polytechnic.

Before joining Finance in Motion in 2009, Milena gained experience with capacity building for banks and microfinance institutions, working as a Project Manager for a development finance consulting firm. Milena has a master's degree in Political Science, Economics and History from the University of Cologne.

Previously, he spent more than twelve years in various positions with UBS and Morgan Stanley working in M&A and helping to raise capital (equity, debt and hybrids) for different companies in a various industries. He also assisted high technology firms in Moscow to access the Russian market. Uwe holds an economics degree from the VWA Stuttgart, an MBA from London Business School and an MA in Documentary Photography from LCC.

He began his career with Dresdner Bank and moved into development finance in 2001. Before joining Finance in Motion he was team leader for the pre-closing stage of the Regional MSME Investment Fund for Sub-Saharan Africa and a freelance consultant. Lloyd holds a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelors in economics and German literature from Vanderbilt University.

Previously, Claudia spent five years in Dubai focusing on private equity investments across the MENA region, working with Abraaj Capital and Algebra Capital. Claudia started her career in London, where she spent eight years in M&A with N.M. Rothschild and Credit Suisse, after obtaining a German and British Business Administration degree from ESB Business School.

In addition she is heading the representative offices in Macedonia and Georgia. Maja has more than 14 years of experience in development finance in Southeast Europe, Caucasus and the MENA region. In 2008 she joined the advisory team of the EFSE, moving on to Finance in Motion in 2009.

Before joining Finance in Motion, Dominic worked at UniCredit as a project finance specialist for renewable energies. Focussing on photovoltaic, wind and biomass, his tasks included project analysis, deal structuring and acting as an agent for capital market transactions. Dominic holds a degree in business administration and has achieved the designation "Certified International Investment Analyst”.

He has over twelve years of experience in investment management, banking, MSME and agricultural lending in the Caucasus, Eastern and Sotheast Europe. Oleg holds degrees in business administration and economics from the Goethe University in Frankfurt and the Academy for National Economy in Ternopil/Ukraine.

He has over 10 years experience in energy financing, policies and technologies. He worked for the German Energy Agency advising various governments on their energy efficiency policies and its regulatory implementation. Previously he spent two years in Johannesburg heading Orbeo South Africa, a subsidiary of Société Générale, and developed UN-endorsed projects in rural electrification and renewable energy. Sebastian holds a degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and an MBA.

Prior to joining Finance in Motion, Daniel worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP where he was responsible for transactions in the areas of acquisition finance, project finance, real estate finance, structured finance and general corporate finance. Daniel has studied law in Mannheim and London and holds a Ph.D. of the University of Mannheim.

Eike has over ten years of experience particularly in the fields of domestic and cross border financing including structured finance transactions, leveraged buy-outs and syndicated lending as well as banking and capital markets law.

Prior to joining Finance in Motion Jasminka worked for the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina in foreign currency reserves management and in the Bosnia and Herzegovinan KfW office as a Banking Sector Analyst and Risk Manager for the EFBH fund. Since 2005 she has worked on coordinating the EFSE’s investment and risk management activities. She holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the Central European University (Essex, UK / Budapest, Hungary).

He started his career in the Financial Services department at Deloitte & Touche after which he joined KfW as a senior risk manager in 2006. Before joining Finance in Motion in 2010, he worked as a Risk Manager in the EFSE team at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Jens holds a business administration degree (Dipl. Kaufmann) from University of Siegen. He is also a CIIA charter holder.

Marco holds an economics degree from the University of Applied Sciences (FH) in Osnabrück and a MA of International & Development Economics from the FH in Berlin.

Before starting to work for the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) team and joining Finance in Motion she managed a GTZ Microfinance Project in Bolivia and worked for the IPC as a consultant for information systems in Latin America. Heike has a degree in automation engineering from Technische Universität Dresden and completed her postgraduate studies in Microfinance in Bolivia.

Before joining Finance in Motion she worked as Senior Auditor for Deloitte. Mejra was also dealing with the restructuring and sale of Privredna Banka Group and the bank privatization in the Federation of BiH. She holds an MA in Economics from Bowling Green State University and a BA in Business Administration from Bluffton College, both USA.

After working several years of experience with various international institutions, she started working as a project officer responsible for financial sector projects of KfW Entwicklungsbank in Kosovo. In 2006, Venera joined the investment management team of the EFSE as Investment Analyst at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (later ConCap Connective Capital) office in Prishtina.

Oxana has many years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining the EFSE team in 2007, she worked for the National Bank of Moldova in the Banking Regulation and Supervision Department.

After working as a consultant, he joined Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (later ConCap Connective Capital) as a Risk Manager in 2008 before moving to Finance in Motion as a Senior Investment Officer for EFSE’s portfolio in Montenegro and Kosovo. Goran holds a degree in Economics from University of Montenegro and an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology, USA.

After starting his career in the commercial banking sector, Vladan took part in establishing a governmental institution dedicated to direct investment facilitation. Before joining Finance in Motion he worked for the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (later ConCap Connective Capital). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia.
