Finance in Motion in New Private Markets Impact 75
Frankfurt am Main, 13 October 2026 – Finance in Motion is one of the world’s leading managers of private markets impact capital. In the latest Impact 75 ranking, the company ranks 3rd globally among impact-focused private debt managers. The ranking is published by New Private Markets, a specialist publication for sustainable investment. “The ranking confirms solid growth in private investor confidence in Finance in Motion,” said Melanie Aimer, Chief Commercial Officer, Finance in Motion.
Since the launch of the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) in 2005 and the Green for Growth Fund (GGF) in 2009, Finance in Motion has combined local market expertise, on-the-ground presence, and blended finance structures to attract institutional capital into emerging markets as well as the neighbouring countries east of the EU. This approach has created deep local networks, longstanding financial sector partnerships, and proven origination capabilities across high-growth economies.
The results speak for themselves. Between 2020 and 2025, private investor participation in EFSE grew by more than 250%, while GGF recorded 141% growth in private investor participation between 2020 and Q2 2026.
This track record is reflected in the New Private Markets Impact 75, where Finance in Motion ranks 3rd globally among impact-focused private debt managers and 28th across all private-market asset classes. The ranking lists the world's largest private markets impact managers by the amount of impact capital raised over a five-year period.
“The growth we are seeing in private investor participation demonstrates that institutional capital is increasingly recognising the value of deep local expertise and proven origination capabilities in emerging markets,” said Aimer. With teams operating across four continents, a network of local offices, and partnerships spanning more than 200 financial institutions, Finance in Motion has built investment pipelines, developed markets, and connected global capital with local opportunity.
As institutional investors seek scalable exposure to emerging markets, success will increasingly depend on access, origination, and local knowledge. “That is exactly what Finance in Motion stands for,” said Aimer.
