Green bonds are a powerful financial instrument to mobilise private investments for a green and sustainable future. LAGreen was launched with the mission of mobilizing funding from the private sector for investing in the transition towards a green economy in Latin America.
And for this transition to occur, it is vital that impacts on climate change of all investments are managed, monitored, and reported in a transparent manner. That’s why LAGreen not only invests in green bonds, but it also supports issuers and verifiers on the ground to enhance the green credentials of those bonds, to ultimately build up the market and scale it up.
