Election Outcome

Does Not Affect Brazil Strategy

Frankfurt am Main, 5 October 2026 – The first round of voting in Brazil has sent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro through to a run-off. Regardless of the final outcome of the election, Finance in Motion sees no reason to adjust its investment strategies. “Investments should continue to be assessed on the quality of the businesses and projects being financed, sound structuring and disciplined risk management,” said Melanie Aimer, Chief Commercial Officer, Finance in Motion.

“Election results form part of the environment in which every investor operates, but they do not on their own determine whether an investment is viable. Brazil’s investment and climate agenda is supported jointly by banks, businesses, investors and public institutions, and extends beyond any single political term. Many of the investments attracting long-term capital in Brazil are linked to food and energy value chains that remain strategically important regardless of changes in political leadership,” said Aimer.

In line with this long-term approach, Finance in Motion has opened an office in Brazil to help strengthen the company’s cooperation with partners and the market knowledge on which investment decisions are based.

Finance in Motion will continue to monitor regulatory, political and market developments within its established processes, and remains focused on projects with strong fundamentals, reliable partners and robust cash flows.
